PreSchool winter story hour is in full swing. Children should be 3 years old to attend. It is held every Tuesday from 10-11 at the City Hall Community Room.

The winner of the Colony City Library Logo Contest is Andrea Starr. Her LOGO will soon begin to appear on letterhead and signs. Congratulations to Andrea. And thank you to all of the participants of the contest. Your library board had a tough time making the decision.

Your Colony City Library has adopted the color BLUE, now we need you to design a logo.

Who can enter? Open to all ages

Any rules? It should relate to reading and include the color BLUE

Where can you turn it in? At either your Colony City Library or at the Crest Middle/Elementary Library

Calling all children 3 years of age and up. Pre-School Story Hour begins September 11, 2010 every Tuesdays from 10-11. We read, make crafts, play games and have a snack. Come join us at the Colony City Library.

Your Colony City Library is automated. With a login and password you can access the SEKLS (Southeastern Kansas Library System), search for books, reserve them and have them ready for pickup within a few days. The website is We still like to have you visit us at the library where our librarians can do the searching and reserving for you.

Volunteers at the Colony City Library can arrange to deliver a selection of books to your home if you live within Ozark Township.  Just call 852-3530.
